Grandma Mortensen's Miracle Wash

Okay, so the Haynie's have an awesome pre-spotting wash, and I put it to the test last night. Emma Jane got the stomach flew. CJ had gotten it three days ago, so we thought it would skip Emma Jane. But, yesterday, Emma Jane and I got it. After we put her to bed, she started screaming. I went in there to find her bed covered in red cool aid and peanut butter sandwich and pizza throw up. All her meals from that day. It was every where, and it was disgusting since I was so nauseated and hadn't eaten anything all day.
Anyway, I tried the Haynie's miracle pre-spotter. I didn't even scrub the sheets, bumper, mattress cover, or quilt. I just sprayed the stuff on, and I threw it in the washer. Anyway, everything came out perfectly clean, and this was red cool aid on a white mattress pad and white chenille fabric on her quilt. And it came out! And I didn't even scrub. You should try it. Seriously, it is awesome. I have never used anything even close to as good as it. Here's the recipe:
1 cup Ammonia
1 cup water
1 cup dawn dishwashing soap (I used Palmolive b/c that was all I had, and it worked great!)

My mom uses that stuff to and I believe that she got the recipe from Peggy. It does work that's for sure!

I'll have to give this a try, I always have clothes with stains on them now that we have Adam. Hope you and Emma Jane are feeling better soon!

what is ammonia and where do you get it

Ammonia is a cleaning agent that they use in most/all cleaning products. You can find it next to the bleach in a grocery store.

Any degreaser should work, so don't worry. Yes, it does stink, but it is better to smell that than the stinky, poopy, or throw-upy clothes you are trying to clean.
